I started writing this song in 2016, when really excessively cheerful music was "in." So that's why it sounds so corny now.

and I always found it to be kind of hard
to incorporate a key change into a song
even if I know the key I want the song to end up in
I still can't get there til I write the bridge
sometimes the bridge I write just takes me back to the start
it's so funny to me how life is just like art
